Please note that being 100% vintage correct, these tuners have two small lugs that protrude from the rear of the mounting plate that can cause the tuner to not sit flat against the headstock, just like you would find on an original Fender bass. In 1964 Fender started to put small recesses in the back of the headstock so that the tuners would sit flush on the bass. We recommend undertaking a similar procedure when fitting these bass tuners to your headstock if your bass doesn't already have the recesses.
