When energized, the permanent magnet motor drives the pump body to rotate, draws fuel from the fuel inlet, flows through the interior of the electric fuel pump, and then presses out from the fuel outlet to supply fuel to the fuel system. The fuel flows through the interior of the electric fuel pump, which cools the armature of the permanent magnet motor, also known as the wet fuel pump. The motor part of the electric fuel pump includes a permanent magnet fixed on the housing and an armature generating electromagnetic torque and a brush device installed on the housing. The brush is in contact with the commutator on the armature, and its lead is connected to the post on the housing, which leads the voltage that controls the electric fuel pump to the armature winding.
