CD74HC4067 16-Channel Analog/Digital Multiplexer/Demultiplexer board. This module features the CD74HC4067 16-channel analog signal switch. It supports 16 analog input channels (C0C15), one common analog output (DIG), and channel selection via control pins S0S3.The device works with both digital and analog signals, provided the voltage does not exceed VCC. The internal switches are bidirectional, support voltages from ground to VCC, have low on-resistance and low off-leakage, and use break-before-make switching to prevent crosstalk. The board exposes the chips enable pin; when set high, it disconnects the common pin and turns all switches off.To operate, connect digital outputs from your microcontroller to the address select pins (S0S3) and send the binary address of the desired channel. This allows up to 16 sensors or devices to be connected using only 5 microcontroller pins.Since the multiplexer handles digital signals, it can route TTL-level serial data. For example, connect the TX lines of 16 devices to individual channels and share a single RX pin on your microcontroller, selecting one device at a time for communication.
