The SF-P101N las er suitable for this mechanism is found in many different s of CD players and hi-fis. The las er model number is printed on the las er housing. So if your faulty la ser has SF-P101N printed on it, then this is the mechanism for you. Just count the pins on the edge connector to confirm there are 16 of them. If your CD player or HiFi's SF-P101N las er is defective, then you can replace the entire mechanism, which will provide a very effective repair as all moving parts in the CD reading mechanism are replaced.
