The 300 mm length is useful where only a short non-metallic threaded section is needed, such as small stand-offs, short spacers, enclosure work or light alignment tasks. PTFE brings low friction, electrical insulation and broad chemical compatibility, but can deform under sustained loads. The rods can be trimmed if a shorter length is required.
