About splicing : If you buy two or more pieces and need to splice them together, it is recommended to use glue ( EVA adhesive ) to splice the two pieces together before installation, which can avoid gaps. Tools needed for installation : Alcohol or cleaner, spatula, scraper, clean cloth, pencil, roller, ruler, masking tape, film ( for copying the outline of the boat floor ), and marine adhesive. Regarding the adhesive of deck mats : Our boat deck mats have adhesive on the back, peel off the film on the back to use. The adhesive for deck mats is suitable for most boat decks, aluminum, fiberglass reinforced plastic, gel-coated board, PP, PVC, and wood all work very well. Please clean the deck carefully before installation, dust and other foreign matter will affect the performance of the adhesive, if your deck is not flat, it is recommended to buy a marine adhesive to use with it, in any case, this will make the boat deck mat more solid. Installation step 1, Remove the boat deck mat from the package, lay it flat on the workbench, press it down with a suitable weight, and let it sit for 24 hours. 2, Prepare film and pencil, and draw the shape of the deck. 3, Cover the drawn film to the surface of the boat deck mat, and cut out the desired shape with a squeegee. 4, Clean the boat deck, and make sure there is no foreign substance left, make sure the boat deck has been completely dry before installation. 5, Tear off the corner of the adhesive backing film of the boat deck mats, and stick it to the corresponding position, while pressing with your hand, slowly tear the film away, if there are two people to help, it will make this job easier. ( Adding additional marine adhesive will be more solid and needs to be purchased separately ) 6, Use a roller to roll each corner of the boat floor mat to ensure all air is expelled. Maintenance after installation : Clean with clean water, please do not use corrosive cleaners to clean the boat deck floor mats. If there is fish blood, red wine, or other colored liquid, please clean it with water and a rag in time.
