This digital light intensity sensor module features an I2C interface and operates at DC5V. It provides high-resolution ambient light detection from 1 to 65535 lux, making it ideal for adjusting LCD brightness or keyboard backlighting. The module uses the BH1750FVI chip, which offers a spectral response close to the human eye and low current consumption with a power-down function. It supports 50Hz/60Hz light noise rejection, has a 1.8V logic input interface, and requires no external components. The sensor can detect a wide range of light levels with minimal source dependency, working well with incandescent, fluorescent, halogen, white LED, and sunlight. Two I2C slave addresses are selectable, and the measurement result can be adjusted for optical window influence (detecting as low as 0.11 lx and up to 100,000 lx).
